Asha Agrawal

Lead - Senior Events and Education

Asha Agrawal has been involved with Indian community in San Diego since 1982. Since then she has organized numerous events with various non-profit organizations. In 1994, she helped co-found the Shri Mandir in San Diego and still serves Shri Mandir to this day in various capacities. For the last 25 years, she has been organizing one of the biggest Shri Mandir fund raising events, called “Diwali Mela.” She is passionate about volunteering and serving her fellow seniors and is the lead SD Nari Senior Committee. She is working hard to plan fun events for seniors, provide useful resources for health and well-being, raise funds for future events and help seniors in our community in every possible way.

Urmil Aggarwal

Urmil Aggarwal has always been a very active community member–in the Midwest and now in San Diego. She has volunteered in different capacities for many not-for-profit organizations. Today, she tutors at the Carlsbad City Library’s Learning Center. And as an active Registered Dietitian and part of SD Nari, she hopes to help her community with nutrition-related concerns and questions. She wants to serve the needs of the older adults and help them attain and maintain a quality life and graceful aging.

Asha Kucheria

Asha has been part of the San Diego community for many years. She can be seen volunteering for many organizations like JSSD, Shri Mandir, Sahara, SMSG and now SD Nari’s Senior Committee. Asha loves to read, to travel and do yoga in her spare time.

Seema Gupta

Seema is an active senior in the San Diego community. She’s a retired teacher and spends her time volunteering for many different organizations. As part of the SD Nari Senior Committee, she would like to empower seniors to live independently and enjoy their sunset years with complete control over their mind and body while enjoying their fun filled lives.

Krishna Parkhani

Krishna has been an active member of the San Diego community for over 20 years through various volunteer activities including SD Nari  senior committee, SAHARA and other individual events. In her spare time, she enjoys playing bridge with friends, challenging herself with various brain teasers, and reading.
